Additionally, when you open a business and start the registration process you are well aware that at different stages of your existence certain documents must always be provided to the relevant authorities. Therefore, to register with the Tamil Nadu Shop and Establishment Act, you need copies of the following documents to be attached to the application form and submit it to the in-spector.
- Pan Card Of Private Limited Company
- Incorporation Certificate Of Company
- Memorandum of Association (MOA) & Article of Association (AOA) (In case of the private limited company)
- Form 18
- Form 32
- Id And Address Proof Of All Directors
- Rental Agreement (if any)
- Commercial Address Proof
- Challan/Payment Receipt /Transaction Receipt
Procedure for getting a registration certificate under the Shop and Establishment Act
Registration of the shops and the establishment act is issued by the State Department of Labour. Under this act, usually, local district labor officers will appoint as inspectors for granting certifi-cates of registration. Moreover, the owner of shops or commercial establishments will expect to submit an application in the specified form to the Inspector in charge along with specified fees within 30 days from the date of commencement of operation.
The following details need to provide in the application form;
- Name of the employer and establishment
- Postal address of the establishment
- Category
- Number of employees working
- The date on which the establishment began to operate
Additionally, the in-charged inspector will then review the application after submission. Moreo-ver, if satisfied, the applicant will be given the Shop and Establishment registration certificate, and they can start their business.
Any changes to the information given at the time of the registration will need to report to the in-spector within 15 days of the date such changes occur. Additionally, the inspector will make ap-propriate changes after verification and will issue a fresh certificate of registration if needed.
This certificate must be careful with the owner as it needs during the renewal of the registration form. Similarly, when the owner wishes to close their company, they will notify the inspector in writing within 15 days of closure. Additionally, the inspector will cancel the Shops and Estab-lishment Act registration and delete his name from the register.
